For those of you who visit the site regularly, you may have noticed that the design has changed a bit. All of the categories that you’ve come to know and love are still here but the color pallet has changed a bit. Don’t be alarmed! You’re computer is not broken (so you can stop trying to adjust the monitor now). What I did this week is officially dump Joomla as my content management system and moved over to WordPress.

For those unaware of the history of DustinReese.com, it goes something like this:

• Stage 1: Hand coded entire site from scratch
• Stage 2: Switched over to Joomla and it was awesome
• Stage 3: Fed up with Joomla’s overly complex and easily breakable/hackable/annoying set up
• Stage 4: Switch to easier, more intuitive WordPress

So how does this little experiment turn out? Hell if I know but I’m going to give it a shot. I’ve been using WordPress for my Plus One blog and it’s really nice. We’ve also switched all the websites from Joomla to WordPress at work so all around me, Joomla is going away. But you should know that even if I do decide to change the CM sometime in the future, know that it’s more for me then you, so all your favorite content should still be here when you come back.
